Stella Tooth is a trained portrait artist who produces impactful original drawings and oil paintings in the moment of real people. Performers inspire her both on the street and in venues and she aims to capture the creative energy of performing live. At a time when our streets have emptied of buskers and the capital’s music venues are closed, her vibrant drawings and paintings give us hope and remind us of the fabulous music that awaits us after lockdown. Stella is proud to be Resident Artist at the Half Moon Putney where some of the world’s most well-known musicians have performed.
Her work also includes commissioned portraits of people and animals that make the perfect gift. Stella has completed a series of portraits of some of the best-known names in UK broadcast news including the BBC’s John Humphrys and Kate Adie and is a founding member of the Lots Road Group of portrait artists. Winner of the judges’ prize at Egypt’s first biennale, she has exhibited at the Milan Expo, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and National Open Art exhibitions.
