Tami St George Hedley

Tami is a contemporary artist from Aotearoa (New Zealand) now based in London, who creates expressionistic and semi-abstract work that explores deep meanings’ between nature and emotions. Using vibrant acrylics and mixed media, including handmade collage and silver & gold leaf, she conveys the power of nature in a striking fashion. Since relocating to London, her art reflects both memories of her homeland and the energy of urban life, with the city's landscape influencing her recent abstracts.

As a trained Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, Tami believes in art’s therapeutic power, emphasising self-exploration through creativity. Her work invites viewers on a journey within, using bold colours, mark-making, and textured surfaces to express her worldview.

Post-pandemic, Tami observed a shift among art collectors towards deeper, meaningful art rather than mere decoration. She believes that art, like home decor, can transform spaces into sanctuaries that reflect personal narratives and emotions. Tami’s art is either on box canvas or cold press paper, finished with archival varnish or professionally framed under glass. Her work is found in homes and businesses worldwide, including the UK, America, Egypt, and New Zealand. Each piece is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
