Abstracts

These abstract artists focus on creating artworks based on the language of shape, form, line and colour. Some also incorporate mixed media and collage such as Gill Hickman’s textural art.

Animals & Birds

The skill of animal/fauna artists is in the portrayal of animals. This can encompass the energy of wild animal art, the personality of pet portraits such as those by Claire Thorogood and Vivien Phelan, or the playful urban art of Wilf Frost.

Ceramic & Glass

Ceramics or pottery can include earthenware art, stoneware art, porcelain art and glazed or fired art. We also have some sculptural art and glass art within this category.

Cityscapes

Also called urban landscape art, most of these artists feature London’s skyline, the Thames and other landmarks, while some cover cities around the world such as Zsuzsanna’s paintings of Venice and Barcelona skylines.

Floral & Still Life

Art featuring plants and flowers or other inanimate still life elements. These artists cover subject matter including; vases, fruit, books. floral displays and other plant subjects.

Landscapes & Seascapes

Our landscape artists cover a range subjects including marine art such as; seascapes, coastline art maritime art or coastal art. Other subjects include; fields, valleys and mountain art.

Portraits & Performers

This covers our artists who specialise in portraiture art, figurative art and performer art. Many of our artists take commissions for portraits.

We also include performer art from Stella Tooth, which captures the energy of live performance in venues, or buskers in the street. Or for a more sculptural piece checkout Richard Dickson’s metal sculptures, Vivien Phelan’s ceramic portraits, or Sangeeta Bhagawati’s linoprints.

Original Prints, Textures & Collage

Original prints are individual prints created by the hand of the artist, sometimes they are unique one-offs, sometimes in limited editions. Etchings, mono-prints, linocuts, & silkscreen prints are all examples of different types of original prints.

Texture is the surface quality of an artwork. It can convey a variety of messages and emotions. Collage materials such as paper, sand etc  are sometimes added to create texture, and some artists create textures by embossing.
