Little House by Sarita Keeler

In this piece I aimed to create a sense of isolation, yet not of loneliness. Reflecting on lockdown and self-isolation across the world and country, I painted a little house hidden away on an empty landscape, tying in warmth through highlights along the horizon and dashes of white amongst the sky. Although a lone house on a hill, I find it serves as a symbol of safety and comfort, highlighting hope against the backdrop of something more sinister.
