Inner Strength 20/25 by Gill Hickman

Using texture and pattern in this limited edition print I express the inner strength we develop as we face challenges in life. In printmaking it is usually the embossed side that is presented, but loving “bumps” as I do, I was struck by the beauty of the debossed side. So, in print 18 I present the reverse side as the front, hence “a back-to-front” print. And if you look closely, you may find the watermark!

Limited edition "back-to-front" print on Somerset 350gsm cotton paper. Float mounted in a lime-waxed ash box frame.
