Skylark Galleries Ltd Shipping and Delivery
We are a collective of artists operating under Skylark Galleries Ltd and are different from most websites. You are buying directly from the artists with no gallery fees.
If you choose to buy something from one of our artists,
from their Artist page, you will EITHER be taken to the online shop run by us – a click and buy service – OR be taken to the web shop of the artist to process the sale OR you can contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire whether an artwork seen on the website (or on our social media) is still available to purchase.
WITHIN THE UK
We are currently (July 2020) only delivering artwork to UK customers via the click and buy section of our website, although we may extend our delivery zones at a future date.
We know you’ll be keen to receive your artwork. From our click and buy website we aim to dispatch all orders within 7 days. If, in the unlikely event there is a delay, we will let you know immediately. Orders are shipped by either DHL Express courier service, or smaller, more delicate items, by Royal Mail special delivery signed-for service and dispatched from individual artists’ London studios. Once your order is on its way to you, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number.
Click and buy delivery charges are included in respect of UK mainland, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man. However, a remote area delivery surcharge will apply at buyer’s cost for remote Scottish Highlands postcodes AB31-56, DG3-9, FK18-21, G63, HS1-9, IV13-63, KA27-28, KW1-9, PA20-78, PH17-50, ZE1-3 and the Channel Islands. Insurance will be included in all cases. Delivery options and related charges will be presented to you as part of the order process.
All Artwork purchased through the click and buy section of our site will normally be delivered within 30 calendar days after the date of our order confirmation, unless otherwise agreed or specified during the order process (subject to delays caused by events outside of our control).
If delivery is by DHL Express, if for any reason we are unable to deliver the Artwork to your chosen delivery address, we will leave a note informing you that the Artwork have been returned to our premises with instructions for arranging re-delivery. If you do not collect the Artwork or arrange for re-delivery, we will contact you to ask for further instructions. We may charge you for storage costs and for re-delivery.
Deliveries are made on a signed for basis and cannot be left anywhere other than the nominated delivery address. A telephone number must be provided where you can be contacted to facilitate the delivery. Up to two subsequent delivery attempts will be made if the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful, which may include leaving a card for you to contact the courier company to arrange redelivery.
If we cannot contact you despite our reasonable efforts, or we cannot arrange re-delivery or collection, the item will be returned to us at your cost. We may end the contract and issue you with a refund but may deduct a reasonable sum in compensation for any net costs incurred by us as a result.
If delivery is by Royal Mail Special Delivery please note it is a signed-for service.
Important As the buyer, it is your responsibility to provide the correct address/addressee and to be able to take delivery of your package. If either requirement is not met and your order is not delivered as a result, refunds will not be provided. If goods are returned to us as undeliverable, a refund will be provided, minus our original shipping and insurance expenses.
If your delivery address is a business premises, please don’t forget to add the name of the business in the delivery address – delivery companies sometimes will not deliver to a business address with no company name.
International sales are not currently available via our click and buy site.
However, if you see any artwork on our website that is advertised for sale, please contact email@example.com to explore possible options for international deliveries.
Where you click through to an artist’s own website, international deliveries are a matter between you and the artist.
Important general information
Depending on your country’s laws (most only impose duties on goods over a certain value) you may be charged an import duty. All import duties are the responsibility of the recipient, and we are unable to advise you whether import duties will be chargeable as they vary from country to country and are at the discretion of your country’s customs officials. Please contact your customs office for this information. Estimated delivery times are provided by the shipping companies, while generally reliable, deliveries are not guaranteed to arrive within this time. Refunds will not be eligible on orders returned to us due to refusal to receive.
As the buyer/importer, it is your responsibility to provide the correct address/addressee and to be able to take delivery of your package. If either requirement is not met and your order is not delivered as a result, refunds will not be issued. If goods are returned to us by the shipping company as undeliverable, a refund will be provided, minus our original shipping expenses.
Estimated transit times for international destinations are provided by delivery companies but are not guaranteed. Generally speaking these timeframes are accurate but occasionally, for causes beyond our control, there are delays which we cannot be held responsible for, therefore if you have a deadline by which you need to receive your order, you order at your risk. We normally dispatch orders within 7 days.
Things get very busy throughout the postal network leading up to and beyond the Christmas/New Year period, resulting in transit times usually taking longer so please order as early as possible if your purchase is intended as a gift!
We do our utmost to ensure that all Artwork listed on our Artist pages, show up-to-date availability, but may occasionally be unable to fulfil an order. Should this occur, we will let you know. We cannot guarantee that Artwork will always be available, especially where an artist’s work is on our site and you click a link to access their own website.
All Artwork orders are thoughtfully and carefully packaged with suitable materials in order to safeguard against any damage in transit and are fully insured on their way to you.
IN PERSON COLLECTION OF ORDERS
Certain items on the click and buy section of our website are large or delicate and so marked for customer collection in person from the artist in London. This will be stated prior to purchase.
If you wish to collect in person an artwork shown on the Artist page of our website with a price, you may be invited to collect from the artist’s London studio or from our gallery on London’s Southbank, Skylark Galleries in Gabriel’s Wharf SE1 9PP.
We hope that you will be completely happy with your Artwork, but in the unlikely event that you are not happy, please contact the gallery immediately on firstname.lastname@example.org, explaining the problem. If the Artwork is damaged on arrival, please send photos of the damaged artwork and the packaging if that is damaged too.
If there’s been any mistake on our part and the Artwork is not what you ordered or is damaged on arrival, you can return the work to us and we will refund your money including shipping costs. We ask that you use the original packaging and pack the Artwork with due care. If you wish we can arrange for the Artwork to be collected by our carrier InXpress including insurance.
If you change your mind and decide to return the Artwork to us, please inform us within 14 days of placing your order and please use the original packaging to return the Artwork to the Return Name and Address on the packaging. Once the Artwork has been safely returned we will refund you the cost of the item, but the shipping is your responsibility. See Terms and Conditions.
WHERE IS MY ORDER?
If your order is taking longer than expected to arrive, please first check the estimated transit times above. Then check the latest tracking information by clicking on the tracking link in the shipping confirmation email sent to you at time of dispatch. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk mail. We’ll be glad to offer assistance, should you need it.
In the unlikely event your order is not received, it is important to contact us as soon as possible after the expected delivery date.
