Roupell Street, London by David Richardson

A plein air pencil, ink and watercolour painting.
   I sat and drew Roupell Street a couple of years ago. It’s somewhere I used to walk along on my way to work, so it holds some personal memories for me. Two shops, a cake shop and a barbers, stand at the entrance to the street. Roupell Street is often seen with several vintage Citroën cars parked along it and has been used on numerous occasions as a filming location for period dramas, thanks to its beautiful Georgian architecture. The street has also featured in several films and TV dramas, including Legend, Mr Selfridge and Call the Midwife.
