Nine Nights (Night Lights) by Corrine Edwards

A series of mono prints entitled Nine Night. Nine night is a Caribbean funereal tradition a rite, celebration, an extended wake. The person must be given a decent ‘send off’. These images were made by flattening small night light containers (tea lights) and using them as a printing plate. Inked up with Silver ink.

Silver ink on Black Somerset paper.

28 x 18cm. (11 x 7 inches). Unframed.
