Marky Dawson is a captivating west London-based pianist and composer, gifted with a remarkable voice that can bring life to Musical Theatre, Jazz and Rock. This oil painting of him captures his spirit while he performs during lockdown for fans on weekly Facebook Livestreams, offering requests in exchange for donations on his online tipjar.

 

Marky said that, although he could see comments, he missed the audience interaction, "It is very strange finishing a song and sitting there in silence! I've had watchers from Canada, US and Germany, so I hope they are applauding at home. I hope once it is safe, there will be lots of support for live music and plenty of events to attend."
