Mirror Eye/Cowrie Mouth by Corrine Edwards

I incorporate Cowrie shell imprints in many of my ceramic Art piece. They have a rich symbolism. They have many meanings and uses. Divination. Fertility symbol. Currency. Decoration. The underside is not often seen in Art. And the mirrors are the eyes of the Soul. See yourself reflected. And the Mask incorporates all these. I have a series of photo etching of Cowries. And made mirror eye and Cowrie imprint brooches.
