A plein air pencil and watercolour painting

   Drawn quickly on the sandy beach beside the Thames before the rising tide swept in. Looking through the legs of the jetty, I loved how they formed natural portals, framing views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the Walkie Talkie among London’s many iconic riverside buildings. The jetty and two nonchalant tourists appear to dwarf the monumental architecture beyond.
