I can’t recall where I read that life drawing is to the artist as practicing the scales is to the singer. I wholeheartedly agreed. After a few years of frequent life drawing you can create a drawing that looks like a living person. But break for a short while and you find that your life drawings become wooden. Life drawing is part of my life.
