Dead Man’s Uke at the Half Moon Putney by Resident Artist Stella Tooth. You may be too young to remember Tiny Tim - a ukulele player with a falsetto voice whose best-known song was ‘Tiptoe through the tulips’. Well, Tiny Tim had a heart-attack when performing this song and sadly died an hour after he left the stage. In time, his uke passed to a new owner - the father of this father and son duo who play dirt swing, hokum and old blues tunes. One day, his son, forgetting Tiny Tim’s name ,asked his father, ‘Where’s that dead man’s uke?’ and the band was born!
