This busker, on a cold autumn day in Florence, was playing with his band in front of a shop window. I loved the changing reflections in it. And remembering wondering how he managed to keep his instrument and hands warm enough to play and stay in tune. The music was in the folk tradition – one moment uplifting and the next soulful. The violinist seemed transported by it, perhaps to another place or a moment in time.
