Chinatown London by David Richardson

A plein air watercolour capturing a hot, sunny day in Chinatown, London.

   I sat beneath the garland of red lanterns that zigzag overhead through this vibrant corner of the city. Tourists, locals and takeaway cyclists filled the busy streets, creating a constant flow of movement and energy.

   Restaurant staff peeked out curiously but respectfully kept their distance. An enthusiastic passer-by stopped to admire my work and asked if they could take a photograph of my artwork.
