An estimated 70% of cats are black and white and there have been a number of famous ones. Palmerston is the resident cat at the Foreign Office in London, and he made headlines in 2016 when he had a very public set to with Larry, the Downing Street cat. William Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton, and Beethoven, all owned black and white cats – and one lived in the White House in the USA when Bill Clinton was President.
