My love for The Notting Hill Carnival has never faded. When I worked as a cub reporter for the Kensington News and Post it was always the highlight of my news year. Years later, as revelers gathered to jump up a stone's throw from my home studio in Ealing, I met this dancer preparing to get on a float accompanied by a chorus of whistles.  I couldn't resist painting her resplendent in a red costume in oils.
