The busker who inspired this mixed media portrait played folk music, shifting from uplifting to soulful, on a cold autumn day in Florence. Reflections in the shop window constantly changed. I wondered how he kept his instrument and hands warm while staying in tune. He seemed transported by it, perhaps to another place or a moment in time.
