Song Thrush by Amanda Gosse

£275.00

An original painting of a song thrush perched on a branch, painted in gouache with fine coloured pencil detail on 300gsm watercolour paper. With its warm brown back and the cream breast with its rows of dark, arrow-shaped spots, the song thrush is known for its clever way with snails: it smashes them open on a favourite stone, known as an “anvil,” often leaving a scatter of broken shells around it.

The painting is sold unframed. At A4, it fits standard ready-made frames and mounts.
