Wave of Blue by Diana Mckinnon

Bluebell woods have inspired me for many years. Come Spring I've got the camera out to try and find a new woodland scene that i can use as an embroidery. . So many factors come into play. Time of day, light, weather and the tree canopy.  A sunny day and mid afternoon usually provides the best light and shade on the bluebells so that I can create a patchwork of purples using fabric, silk paper and thread. I often like a path to lead the viewer into the bluebells.
