Elegy IV is part of a series four works. There is beauty in fading flowers, the structure, veins and texture provide interest. The way in which the petal folds up is reminiscent of silk fabric. By introducing and enhancing new colours the image is brought to life. Listening to the Elegies of Massenet and Faure also provided inspiration.

The artwork is titled and signed by the artist on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
