Embossed abstract collage in greens on cotton paper with gold dutch metal. Float mounted in a lime-waxed ash box frame.

This early embossed collage "Spring" was one of a series of pieces based on the Four Seasons made around 99/00, in this one Gill used a sushi rolling mat to emboss the texture. The gold is dutch metal, note the straight edges! The gold symbolises the upward growth of energy in spring-time.
