Waterloo Station, London by David Richardson

£300.00

A plein air pencil and watercolour painting.

I found a spot to sit and draw next to the Black and Blue restaurant, surrounded by the constant flow of commuters passing through this incredibly busy transport hub.
Opened in 1848 as Waterloo Bridge Station, Waterloo is one of London's major railway terminus, connecting the capital with destinations across southern England by train. Its grand entrance incorporates a Grade II listed First World War memorial, while inside, the famous four-sided hanging clock remains a much-loved meeting point. From 1994 to 2007, Waterloo also served as London's Eurostar terminus for high-speed rail services to Europe.
