Henrietta Hare animal drawing by Stella Tooth

STH00582

£80.00

The svelte brown hare is Britain's fastest land mammal and can reach 40mph. Solo dwellers, hares don't burrow like rabbits, but use 'forms' - shallow resting places - to snooze in fields. Their mating season has become a source of fascination - the phrase 'Mad as a March Hare' stemming from their captivating antics. It's their alertness I've tried to embody in this picture.
