Effie Romain

Hello, my name is Effie Romain.

I have been painting all my life but I have had no formal art education. I have been on many short courses — painting, drawing including calligraphy and Chinese painting.

I spent nearly 30 years in Bristol and during that time I opened and ran a small but very pretty art gallery — Art Garden it was called — in an interesting 17th century building. I met lots of artists during that time and I was always looking for something that was eye catching, or well composed or just caught the imagination in some way. I wanted to sell good things. I look at lots of art now online and it is wonderful to have access to so many images. I still really like discovering new paintings that I like and hope you will like looking at some of mine.
