Anjali B Purkayastha

Anjali Bansal Purkayastha is a self-taught artist based in London.

She creates mixed media works focused on themes relating to human experiences and emotions such as love, hope or spirituality. Her art is characterised by intricate details, colour and a sense of movement that draws the viewer in. Most of her pieces feature patterns as visual language to add depth and meaning to the work. Whether she is creating a painting or a sculpture, Anjali’s attention to detail is evident in every piece she creates.

Her Asian heritage is an integral part of her artistic identity. As an Indian artist, she draws inspiration from the rich traditions of her homeland. Through her art, she hopes to celebrate and showcase her heritage while exploring themes that resonate with audiences around the world.

Anjali’s work has been exhibited in India, Singapore, Korea, Thailand and the UK and is held internationally by private collectors.
