Spring 2026 - Magnolia by Judy Head

This painting of our Magnolia was completed in the spring of this year. The magnolia tree is one of the first to welcome the spring with a magnificent display of pink and white bracts on her bare winter branches. The leaves follow, growing larger during the summer months, and as the bracts fade the catkins emerge.

Painted on hand-made Japanese paper using traditional black Sumi and coloured mineral inks. Float mounted and framed in natural Ash.

The chop beneath the signature is a monogram of my initials. The second chop describes the mood of the image, Dancing Brush.

Dimensions: 51cm x 43cm
