Nature has always been a great inspiration for artists, from huge skies, landscapes, wildlife and habitat, artists have depicted nature to express their feelings and as an escape from  the frenetic world around them.

 

At Skylark Galleries we showcase artists working across many practices from painting, printmaking, ceramics and 3D work.They share their connections with the environment and a variety of forms in the natural world. As Cezanne said " painting from nature is not copying the object, it is realising one's sensations.
