Vibrant New Mural in Gabriel's Wharf

November 15, 2021

Mural Project by London artist Joel Sydenham in Gabriel's Wharf

We are delighted that our artist Joel Sydenham, also known as Chidi3s, was asked by Coin Street Community Builders who own and manage Gabriel's Wharf to create a mural celebrating the unique aspects of the Wharf.

Gabriel's Wharf is a buzzing community of independent businesses ranging from fashion and art to restaurants, bars and designer/makers.

Joel went from unit to unit asking the owners for keywords that sum up the ethos of their business. The most common words such as; creative, independent, ethical, joy and culture were incorporated into the mural.

Work took place early in November, and the finished mural really brightens up a dull area of the Wharf.

Joel expresses his creativity in many ways, as well as murals, original paintings and digital prints, he writes poetry and sells merchandise with his designs on.
