Out now! Art for art's sake - Blues in Britain Magazine interview with Stella Tooth

December 09, 2022

Blues in Britain magazine interview with Stella Tooth musician artist

Skylark Galleries portrait and performer artist Stella Tooth is interviewed in the latest edition of Blues in Britain magazine talking about her performer art to Editor Nicholas John.

The double page spread features blues musician artwork she created at the Half Moon Putney where she's resident artist.

It highlights her artistic journey via The Heatherley School Of Fine Art and speaks about my Half Moon Putney residency.

It also looks back to two exhibitions she was part of this year - the British Blues Exhibition at the Barbican Music Library and a joint exhibition at the Ealing Project 'Art & Sol' - which helped celebrate 60 years of British rhythm and blues which began at The Ealing Club a stone's throw away from her own home studio.

The 'Art & Sol' exhibition featured her new digital paintings of legendary rock stars - including a number who played the The Ealing Club like Roger Daltrey and Mickj Jagger - inspired by photographs by Sol N'Jie.

Hope you enjoy the read!
