Henrietta Hare by Stella Tooth

STH00582

£80.00

The brown hare is Britain’s fastest land mammal and is able to travel at speeds of up to 40mph.  They are not social animal and, unlike rabbits, don’t burrow. Rather they create 'forms' - shallow resting places in fields. The expression ‘Mad as a March hare’ comes  from the antics of hares during their breeding season.  For me, it's there alertness I love, which is what I've tried to capture here.
