This beautiful vase stands at 44cm. Thrown in white stoneware clay and fired to 1260 degrees, the decoration has been carved free-hand in a design inspired by the cow parsley and other varieties of wild umbellifer flower heads that adorn our urban parks and country pathways. The cobalt oxide coloured slip bears lilac highlights under the white satin exterior glaze. The vase, also glazed on the inside, is entirely watertight and could serve as a vessel for fabulous floral displays as well as being a stand-alone art piece.
