With fifteen wonderful prizes, and tickets at just £5 each, our Christmas Raffle in aid of Crisis for Christmas raised a phenomenal amount to support the homeless. Thank you to the 15 artists who donated works and to all who bought tickets.
We are delighted to welcome two new artists to the Skylark clan.
Landscape painter Bronwen Dace joins us in Skylark Galleries 1 with her seasonal paintings of West London locations such as Kew Gardens and Richmond Park etc. Bronwen frequently paints scenes from London’s parks and gardens. Her love of exotic flowers and succulents has taken her to botanic gardens all over the world.
As well as works on canvas, Bronwen also has some charming watercolours of cacti on display along with a wide selection of greetings cards.
Bronwen will be present in our Gabriel’s Wharf gallery every other Sunday.
Over in Skylark Galleries 2, we are joined by Schneider (just Schneider) a ceramic artist with a difference! Her punk baroque works defy all usual descriptions.
Schneider creates embellished collage-like sculptural pieces, accentuated with gold lustres and often includes unusual and somewhat surprising found objects in her works. They are inspired by traditional transfer-ware as well as traces and detritus of contemporary urban life.
You can meet Schneider at our gallery upstairs in the Oxo Tower building every three weeks on Fridays
