Originally built by Cardinal Wolsey, who gifted it to Henry in an attempt to win his favour, the palace was later greatly expanded during Henry’s reign. All six of his wives spent time here.\u003cbr\u003e   The palace is home to its remarkable 500-year-old astronomical clock, real tennis courts and a famous maze.
