Max Kimber

In Max’s surreal and often amusing images, vintage photographs are altered to produce surprising and sometimes alarming vignettes of an alternative reality. The results are either a telling commentary on social mores and associated aesthetics or a bit daft, Max is still making up her mind!
Based in Canterbury, Kent, Max graduated with a First Class BA Hons in Fine Art from UCA Canterbury. Her film Cusp, won the Grand Jury Prize and Best Experimental Film at Exposures Film Festival 2010 and her work has been shown in the Royal Academy Summer Show and at The Foundling Museum, London, Linnean Society, London and the Berlin Botanical Museum plus galleries in Vancouver.
