This talented glass artist will be opening the gallery on Mondays 4th and 11th May during her show. She will also be at the gallery on Wednesday 6th May and Sunday 17th May.
Speaking about her work, Eryka has the following to say – ‘Inspired by the trail left by the death of an electron, or the pitted surface inside a copper tank, I continue to explore the diverse relationships between glass, metal, process and scale. I continually try to push the boundaries of the materials within kiln forming processes. Recycled metals acquired from manufacturing processes produce their own unique reaction when fused in glass. I challenge the often-perceived fragility of glass, instead capitalising on the robust, tactile and enduring nature of the material.’
